The following organizations in Longview regularly need volunteers:

  • Windridge Equestrian Center

  • City of Longview Library on East Cotton Street

  • Longview World of Wonders (WOW) in downtown Longview on Tyler Street. Needs volunteers to help with care of the exhibits, gift shop sales, school visits, educational camps, and special events. For information, Longview Email or call 903-212-4969.

  • Annual City of Longview Thanksgiving Food Drive and Distribution (at Maude Cobb Auditorium)

  • Boys and Girls Club

  • Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center at 303 H. G. Mosley Parkway. Needs people who love animals to walk dogs, cuddle cats, and perform other general tasks. For information, visit www.longview-paws.org.

Needed as of September 2022: Apply now to volunteer at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, 303 H. G. Mosley Parkway, Longview, 75604. 903-297-7387 Open Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00-5:00 PM Closed Sunday and Monday Go to Longview Paws. Minimum age requirement is 13 years old. 13-17 year old students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers are needed to walk and socialize dogs, cuddle and socialize cats, clean and organize the kennels, and travel off-site to represent LACAC in the community at animal adoption events.
