Testing season has arrived with the cold weather. Parents and Guardians, please take the time to review the spring testing calendar. We ask that you ensure your students are present on their scheduled testing dates and are fully prepared to do their best. Community in Schools at LHS will host its 3rd Annual HBCU College Event and Black History Program on February 28, 2025 in the Lobo Coliseum. Our goal is to allow our students to gain knowledge and have a meaningful experience. Go Lobos!!

The Longview ISD Board of Trustees approved significant construction projects, security system upgrades, and the 2025-26/2026-27 instructional calendars during their regular meeting Monday, Feb. 10, 2025.

LHS will be having our 2nd Formative Campus Improvement Plan Meeting. We will discuss academic performance on common assessments and survey development. Meeting dates: 1/22/25 at 9:30am and 1/23/25 at 5:00pm.
A Parent Meeting for current 8th grade students will be held on Tuesday, January 14th at 5:30 p.m. in the Mickey Melton Center for Performing Arts, which is located on the campus of Longview High School.
It is very important for parents to attend so they can receive crucial information for their student(s) prior to coming to the high school. Your middle school students have toured the high school to see all of the training opportunities and this meeting will give parents a chance to receive additional information regarding all of the programs of study available at LHS.
Counselors will begin visiting the middle school campuses on January 15th in order that students may select their courses for the 2025 - 2026 school year. It is important for you to have a conversation with your student regarding their desired classes prior to the LHS counselors coming to their school.
Dates LHS Counselors will visit each middle school campus:
January 15 - 17 Forest Park
January 21 - 23 Judson
January 27 - 29 Foster

Our goal at LHS is to become better as a unit - to have one voice, one sound, one community at Lobo Nation. Some would ask how we plan to do that? To begin with, we need input. If we don't know how you feel, what you need and what your thoughts are then we aren't able to make changes for the better.
With this in mind, the Stronger Connections Foundation Grant Program created a survey that will allow your voice to be heard. So, this afternoon, please take some time to open the survey and answer the questions - because what you have to say truly matters. This survey will take approximately 10 minutes of your time.
